Rik Vera is a renowned thought-leader, advisor and lecturer on the topics of customer-centricity, change management, sales and marketing. Having gathered years of C-level experience in sales and marketing related functions, he now inspires companies to develop customer-centric strategies fit for a connected world.

Rik Vera mixes years of business experience at C-level with humor and passion. Rik has an over 20 years C-level experience in sales-marketing and general management in the manufacturing industry. In 2015 he and his business partners Peter Hinssen and Steven Van Belleghem started nexxworks, where Rik is CEO. They travel the world, inspiring companies how to lead in the New Digital World, taking business leaders to innovation hubs like Silicon Valley, ignite frustrated enthusiasts with innovative bootcamps, but above all they encourage companies to get ready for the day after tomorrow.

As Product Marketing Lead, Tim oversees the go-to-market and product marketing for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement in Western Europe. He’s a proud evangelist for the Customer Engagement portfolio, including Relationship Sales, Field & Customer Service. In his 15 years in business, Tim has held several business development, sales and marketing roles in the Belgian tech industry. Recently he served as the CMO at Microsoft Belux.

Jean-François Segalotto is a Research Manager with IDC Energy Insights Europe, Middle East and Africa conducting region-focused research providing full coverage of the utility industry value chain. Segalotto leads the “European Utility IT and Operational Technologies Strategies” advisory service, which provides full coverage of the utility industry value chain. In his role, Segalotto covers a wide range of industry-specific themes, including smart grids, mobility, Internet of Things, connectivity and networks, and business systems supporting smart customer operations and digital transformation.

Segalotto is also an active member of IDC’s European Internet of Things Ecosystem and Trends practice.

Leading up to his role in IDC, Jean-François spent over nine years as a market analyst in the telecoms, broadcast and digital media sectors, working first at ThinkTel (Milan), and e-Media Research (Milan, London). He has also collaborated as a research fellow and co-author with the IMF’s Monetary and Capital Markets Department on monetary institutional frameworks and monetary policy.

Mr. Šajn began his career in 2004 as a professional researcher in the field of energy markets and connected business strategies and models. He participated in the creation of what is now known as GEN-I. Ever since he was working in the area of business processes and operations of energy trading in sales heading various departments from IT to Sales Operations. His areas of expertise include management of complex development and other projects. In this capacity, he was in charge of preparations for entry into electricity and natural gas markets in Slovenia and Croatia headed operational aspects of the merger between GEN-I and one of its competitors.

From 2011 Mr. Šajn is a member of Management Board at GEN-I responsible for areas of operations and IT support and development.
