MECOMS is already used for more than 10 years in multiple water companies in e.g. The Netherlands & UK for their meter-to-cash processes. Together with our charter client ‘Waternet’, MECOMS 365 has been developed with a focus on integrated water companies in which the best practices of the water market are incorporated. Therefore MECOMS 365 can deal with the challenges that water companies face. For example, it easily handles customer move-in, building owners associations or joint-billing of municipal taxes or garbage collection. The MECOMS Billing engine natively deals with complex situations such as unmetered connections, and makes is possible to calculate charges based on the number of taps, inhabitants or any other parameter.

MECOMS 365 IN THE NETHERLANDS

In collaboration with our current water customers in the Netherlands: Waternet, Waterbedrijf Groningen & Waterleidingmaatschappij Drenthe, the legislation on the supply and invoicing of drinking water in the Netherlands is already provided within MECOMS. This includes, among other things: ‘BOL & Precariobelasting’, VAT Payments, Complaints report, Inspection Process (closure, legionella prevention and standards), etc.
