Qatar District Cooling, also known as Qatar Cool is a leading district cooling company based out of Doha, Qatar.

Qatar Cool is situated in Doha in Qatar and invests in the production and distribution of chilled water from a central location to be used for air-conditioning purposes. The chilled water is produced at a central cooling plant, where it is then pumped through a network of underground insulated pipes to customers’ buildings.

While district heating systems have been used since the time of the Romans, District Cooling has grown in popularity relatively recently as a result of the technological advances in pipe insulation and valves that reduces transmission losses and the advent of accurate consumption monitoring systems.

Qatar Cool supplies cooling water to the following Doha districts:

1. The Pearl-Qatar:  4 Million square-meter manmade islands developed by UDC off the coast of Doha’s West Bay. It occupies a prime location and boasts an assortment of residential accommodations for every taste and style in addition to mixed-use developments, high-end retail, and lavish hospitality.
The island has been operational since 2009 and has enjoyed increasing popularity among locals and expats alike. It is expected to be home to over 45 thousand residents by the time it’s fully operational.

2. The West Bay: this area of Doha has seen tremendous growth over the past few years with a mixture of commercial and residential developments setting up the new business district of Doha.

To guarantee a swift and efficient service to their customers, Qatar Cool chose MECOMS as their operating system.
